The upNine $100,000 Tournament – Terms & Eligibility
Welcome to the first official upNine competition, where creators and competitors will have a chance to earn a share of up to $100,000 in cash and prizes. This beta-era tournament is designed to reward performance, participation, and competitive spirit.
General Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for tournament consideration, users must meet the following baseline requirements:
Account Requirements
Must have a verified upNine account
Must be at least 13 years of age
Must comply with all upNine terms of use and community guidelines
Referral Requirement
Must invite a minimum of 5 new users who successfully join the upNine platform using your unique referral code
Activity-Specific Participation
Must meet the minimum matchup requirements listed below for the desired activity category
Qualification Deadline:
All matchups must be completed by August 31, 2025. Leaderboards will be evaluated based on standings as of that date.
Matchup Requirements
Basketball – 1v1 Matchups
Minimum: 10 verified one-on-one matchups
Top 16 Players on the leaderboard will be eligible
Prize pool allocation: up to $15,000
Basketball – 2v2 Matchups
Create a team
Minimum: 10 verified two-on-two matchups w/ your team
Top 16 teams on the leaderboard will be eligible
Prize pool allocation: up to $25,000
Basketball – Three-Point Shootout
Minimum: 10 verified shootout matchups
Top 36 players will be eligible
Prize pool allocation: up to $15,000
Rock Paper Scissors (RPS)
Minimum: 20 verified matchups
Top 32 players qualify
Prize pool allocation: up to $10,000
Soccer - Penalty Kick Shootout
Minimum: 10 verified shootout matchups
Top 36 players will be eligible
prize Pool allocation: up to $15,000
Push-up contest
Minimum: 10 verified push-up matchups
Top 36 players will be eligible
prize Pool allocation: up to $10,000
Prize Distribution Notes
Final prize amounts and distributions are subject to change based on participation, sponsorships, and overall platform performance
Tournament finalists and winners may be asked to verify their identity and eligibility
All prize recipients must be legally eligible to receive funds (parental consent required for minors)
Prize amounts are not guaranteed, and upNine reserves the right to adjust or withhold prizes if necessary
Final Tournament Information
All tournament finalists will be invited to compete in person at the official upNine Tournament, held in New York City on a designated date (to be announced).
Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses. upNine will not cover or reimburse travel costs.
Further details regarding the date, location, and event logistics will be provided to qualified participants following leaderboard evaluations.
Additional Terms & Conditions
Content Authenticity: Any user suspected of cheating, falsifying matchups, or violating community guidelines will be disqualified
Territory: This tournament is currently open to users based in the United States only.
Final Selections: Leaderboard rankings will be evaluated internally, and upNine reserves the right to make final determinations on eligibility and reward allocation
Modifications: upNine may modify, suspend, or cancel the tournament at any time for any reason, including but not limited to technical issues or insufficient participation
