Prize Distribution & Verification

The UpNine Social Tournament offers up to $5,000 in total prize money across the event competitions.

Prize amounts and distributions may be adjusted based on participation levels, sponsorship support, and overall event execution.

Tournament winners and finalists may be required to verify their identity and eligibility prior to receiving any prize funds.

All prize recipients must be legally eligible to receive funds in the United States. If a participant is under 18 years of age, parental or guardian consent may be required.

UpNine reserves the right to withhold or revoke prizes if a participant is found to have violated tournament rules, community guidelines, or engaged in fraudulent activity.

Event Participation & Logistics

Participants are responsible for their own transportation, travel, and accommodation expenses.

UpNine will not reimburse travel costs or related expenses.

The final event location, schedule, and logistical details will be provided to confirmed participants prior to the tournament.

Participation is limited and registration will close once competition brackets are filled.

Each participant may register for only one competition.

Tournament Integrity

UpNine is committed to maintaining fair and competitive events.

Any participant suspected of cheating, manipulating match results, falsifying participation, or violating platform community guidelines may be disqualified at the sole discretion of UpNine.

Disqualified participants may forfeit eligibility for prizes and participation in future UpNine events.

Eligibility

This tournament is currently open to participants located in the United States.

Participants must have an active UpNine Social app account in order to compete and have their participation recorded.

Participants must comply with all event rules and instructions provided by UpNine staff during the event.

Skill Based Competition

This tournament is a skill based competition. Winners are determined based on athletic performance and competition results. No element of chance determines the outcome of the event.

No purchase or entry fee is required to participate.

Media & Content Release

By participating in the event, participants grant UpNine permission to capture and use photography, video footage, and related media from the event for promotional, marketing, and content purposes across digital platforms, including but not limited to social media, websites, and promotional materials.

Participants acknowledge that such media may be used without additional compensation.

Assumption of Risk & Liability Waiver

Participants acknowledge that basketball and related athletic activities involve inherent physical risks, including but not limited to physical contact, falls, collisions, and other potential injuries.

By registering for and participating in the event, participants agree to participate at their own risk.

Participants voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and release and hold harmless UpNine, its organizers, affiliates, staff, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, or injuries that may arise from participation in the event, except where prohibited by law.

Participants are responsible for ensuring they are physically capable of participating safely.

Modifications & Cancellation

UpNine reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the tournament at any time if necessary, including but not limited to:

• safety concerns
• technical issues
• insufficient participation
• circumstances beyond UpNine’s control

Any modifications will be communicated to participants as soon as reasonably possible.
