UpNine Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) Prevention Policy

Last updated: April 22, 2025

1. Our Commitment to Zero-Tolerance

UpNine is unwaveringly committed to the safety and well-being of all users, especially children. We maintain a zero-tolerance stance toward any content, behavior, or activity that exploits or endangers minors. Any report or detection of CSAE content is treated as an emergency: we remove it immediately, suspend the responsible account, and, when appropriate, report the incident to law enforcement without delay.

2. Definitions of Prohibited Material

Any depiction or facilitation of sexual activities involving minors is strictly forbidden. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Imagery: Photographs, videos, drawings or animations that depict minors (anyone under 18) in sexual acts or in a sexualized manner.

  • Solicitation: Any attempt to procure sexual services from or with a minor.

  • Sexual grooming: Messages or behaviors intended to befriend and win the trust of a minor for sexual purposes.

  • Child sexual exploitation: Any act of trading or exchanging sexual content involving minors for money, favors, or digital currency.

Even “erotic” or “artistic” depictions of under-18s with sexual connotations are disallowed.

3. Detection & Removal of Offending Content

3.1 Human Moderation

  • Triage team: All automated flags are queued for 24/7 human review by trained Child Protection Specialists.

  • Escalation workflows: High-severity detections (e.g. new content of a minor in sexual acts) are escalated within minutes to senior analysts.

3.2 Workflow & SLAs

  1. Detection → 2. Human review

  2. Within 1 hour: Removal and account suspension.

  3. Within 24 hours: Full incident analysis and reporting to authorities if required.

4. How Users Can Report Suspected Abuse

  • Dedicated email: abuse@upninesocial.com

All reports are acknowledged within 2 hours and investigated within 24 hours.

5. Cooperation with Law Enforcement & NGOs

  • Immediate notification: In cases involving apparent CSAE, we notify local law enforcement within 1 hour, sharing all necessary metadata (timestamps, IP logs, user account info).

By adopting and publishing this policy, UpNine demonstrates our steadfast dedication to protecting children online. We continuously review and strengthen our processes to stay ahead of emerging threats and to foster a trusted, safe environment for everyone.
